Golden Star Show Choir
So, my friend Angie showed me this website that will allow me to grab you tube videos and edit them. Finally! I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile.
Video editing is not something I’m necessarily good at, by any means, but I enjoy playing around with Windows Movie Maker. I’ve never really had any video files to mess around with, mostly because I’m too lazy to grab the camera and make my own. Now I can rip other people’s videos and mash em all up. It’s like a collage, really. But with videos.
So here it is. A mash up I made today using a My Brightest Diamond song, “Golden Star,” and videos of show choirs on the You Tube.
Sorry the files weren’t the greatest to start with and then a couple of conversions later they’re down right pixelated. Meh. It works.

Cool. Love that My Brightest Diamond. I like how the colors of the ladies’ dresses subtly change but the overall shooting perspective is the same, giving the impression of a single person or thought slowly evolving. When the red ones pop out it’s really striking. All the synchronous motion in the video is kind of mesmerizing too.
Excellent! Finally something productive involving show choir! heh heh, I keeed. I know how you likes the show choirs. Also, man is it weird to see my actual name on the interwebs. I’m so used to being called Hat that when I saw Angie I was all, “Hmmm, Jason has a friend named Angie. That’s nice.” Me=Dork with an identity complex. Seriously though – THAT was so good. I loved the beginning dance sequence the best. (clap clap clap)
I hope you don’t mind I used your name. I actually thought about it when I typed it. I typed, “Auld Hat” first. But Angie just seemed more fitting. I can always go with ‘A.’
Angie Pangie Puddin Nose (:
I just heard that it got a little windy in your neck of the woods. Hope all is well. And don’t you judge me! Of course I’m still on the computer. pft
We ain’t scared of any tornadic activity here in these parts. Actually we just got a lot of wind, tornadoes touched down north of us about 2 hours or so.
I, of course, would never judge.
